Temples in Dwarka

Dwarka stands at the western tip of Gujarat where the Gomti meets the Arabian Sea, and is revered as the capital Krishna founded after leaving Mathura. It is counted both among the Char Dham and the Sapta Puri. The Dwarkadhish temple rises over the town, the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga is a short drive away, and Bet Dwarka, the island associated with Krishna's residence, lies offshore.

Best time to visit: October to March. Janmashtami is the great festival, and Holi is kept on a large scale.
