Temples in Shirdi

Shirdi is a town in the Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar) district of Maharashtra, where Sai Baba lived for most of his life until 1918. His samadhi is enshrined in the Samadhi Mandir at the centre of the town, and the places associated with his life — the Dwarkamai mosque where he stayed, the Chavadi, the Gurusthan — are all within a few minutes' walk of it.

Best time to visit: October to March. Ram Navami, Guru Purnima and Vijayadashami — the anniversary of Sai Baba's samadhi — are the principal occasions.
