Temples in Salkanpur

Salkanpur, in the Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh about 70 kilometres from Bhopal, is known for the temple of Maa Bijasan on a hilltop above the village. The shrine is reached by a long flight of steps, by road, or by ropeway, and is among the most visited Devi temples in central Madhya Pradesh.

Best time to visit: October to March. Both Navratris are the temple's principal occasions.
