Temples in Dewas

Darshan timings, aarti and travel guide for every major temple in Dewas.

Dewas lies between Indore and Ujjain, about 35 kilometres from each, and takes its identity from the Tekri — the hill at the centre of the town where Maa Chamunda and Maa Tulja Bhavani are worshipped. The goddesses are known locally as Choti Mata and Badi Mata. The hill is climbed by steps or by ropeway, and the view from the top takes in the whole of the Malwa plateau around it. Dewas is an easy addition to an Ujjain or Indore itinerary.

Best time to visit: October to March. Both Navratris are the Tekri's principal occasions.
